The Florida Flamingles enjoyed an informative and relaxing Rally weekend at the Grand Oaks Equestrian & RV Park in Lady Lake, Florida.

Nestled among the paddocks and meadows of the horse park were 41 LTV rigs that decided to join this Spring Rally.

The weekend was a blend of social and learning events which were enjoyable for all. Learning events consisted of sessions on battery replacement and battery SmartShunt installation. Local representatives from Gerzeny’s RV World, Specialty Van City, Pagosa Supply Co., and Lithionics Batteries all provided their expertise to the rally agenda. We also got to hear from our fellow Flamingles member, Sandra Johnson who used her extensive engineering background to assist other Flamingles members with battery-related modifications. Her expertise is well known to those who frequent the various LTV-related social media sites.

When not partaking in learning events, rally attendees enjoyed walks throughout the horse park – stopping to visit the Clydesdale horses and other local horse breeds that are residents of the rolling hills of Grand Oaks Equestrian & RV Park.

The weekend culminated with a catered group dinner prepared by the park’s Bistro restaurant staff. The dinner itself was held in the park’s museum hall. The museum contained a colorful collection of horse wagons, carriages, and harnessing equipment.

This rally also provided an opportunity to showcase our rigs to potential LTV owners who flocked to the rally to see the numerous rigs and interior configurations. Several stayed to enjoy the events on the agenda, dinner, and to learn more about the benefits of being a member of the Florida Flamingles LTV Travelers Club.
